Itinerary

Arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International airport and transfer to Dirre Dawaa through Ethiopian Airways. After lovely lunch at Dire Dawa Ras Hotel, drive to Gursum and check in to your accommodation for overnight. You will be received with a traditional Ethiopian welcome ceremony and then enjoy your dinner and relax. Brief orientation about the tour and relevant information is given to the guests by tour guide.  

After breakfast, drive to the base of Kundudo Mountain and the hike to the peak where you can find the majestic roaming wild horses probably your first encounter with such unique animals. You will really enjoy the serenity of the environment and panoramic view of surrounding areas. At midday you will have your picnic lunch. In the afternoon you will return to your hotel and relax. After relaxation, you will have excursion in Funyan Bira town observing local market possibly doing some shopping at shops or open market. This will give you the opportunity to interact with local communities and their way of life

After breakfast, depart for Sheikh Adam Goba Mosque and Shrine and explore the mosque, a significant historical site with ancient architectural designs. Learn about the history and religious importance of Sheikh Adam Goba. At midday, return to your hotel for lunch and a brief relaxation. In the afternoon, proceed to visit Ow-Kaba's ancient mosque. Explore the ancient structure and learn about its history and architectural significance. In the late afternoon depart for sites where you will observe thrilling rock formations at different locations and then return to your hotel for an overnight stay and relaxation

After breakfast, drive to Oromo Cave and enjoy your adventurous exploration of the cave. At around 10:30 AM depart for Khat farm visit to Ow-Barre and Daayfaras Villages. You will have the opportunity to see a typical khat farm and the local production system and its impact on social life and the local economy. You may try a chewing ceremony with locals to experience what euphoria khat gives to its chewers. I can’t tell you the feeling. You had better try it. At about 1:00 PM return to your accommodation for relaxation and lunch at a local restaurant featuring traditional Hararghe cuisine. Then continue with the following activities: -Visit the local livestock and vegetable market. -Engage with local traders and observe the bustling market activities. - Explore the historical artifacts that depict the life and culture of the region's ancient communities. -At about 5:00 PM, wrap up the tour with a farewell ceremony and photo session with local guides and hosts and depart for Harar for an overnight stay at your hotel. -In the late evening you will have the chance to watch the practice of feeding hungry hyenas on the outskirts of Harar city.
